The Odyssey Football League Will Add Two New Teams in 1970

Here are the Ground Rules for everything related to the Expansion Draft:

-- November 17 Midnight EST ...
This is the deadline to make
your pre-rookie draft cuts to get your roster down to the 34
player limit. Rosters will be frozen at this time. No trading.

-- November 24 Midnight EST ... This is the deadline to turn in
your 8 player unprotected list for the Expansion Draft. Rosters
are unfrozen and trading is allowed.

-- December 3-5/Start Time TBA ... These are the dates the Expansion Draft will be held. Each expansion team will make 10
picks each day. Each existing team will lose 3 players. Once you've
had 3 players selected from your unprotected list the remainder
of your players left on the board will return to your roster. At the
completion of the Expansion Draft the new teams will have 30
players.

-- January 8 High Noon EST ... This is the official start date for
the 1970 OFL Free Agent/Rookie Draft. The expansion teams will
have the first and second picks in each round. A coin toss will
decide the expansion team getting the first overall pick. They will
then alternate selection order each round moving forward.
Additionally, the expansion teams will receive a bonus pick at
the end of the First Round.

About the Odyssey

The Odyssey Football League was founded in 2006.

The idea for the Odyssey was the journey. The Odyssey started
with the 1960 professional football league season playing forward.

The Odyssey is a twenty team draft league currently getting
ready for the start of the 1969 season in August 2010.

If you are interested in joining a top flight retro football league
contact commissioner Brandon Rose today. You will be able
to find out if there are any openings and/or get on the Odyssey
waiting list.

In 1970 the Odyssey will be expanding adding two teams
creating two definite openings.
